Simple, quick and easy, with big meaty tomatoes, these sandwiches are delicious.
Italian sub rolls, split
Large heirloom tomatoes, cut 1/2" thick
Iceberg lettuce, cut into strips
Black pepper, to taste
Spread mayonnaise on each side of the bread and season with salt and pepper. (Optional additions include mustard, kalamata olive spread, vinegar). Top each sandwich with a thick slice of tomato and the iceberg lettuce. Drizzle with olive oil.
